There is growing evidence of Learning Disabilities among children, with at least 20% diagnosed with some form of LD such as dyslexia. These are kids who will certainly have trouble learning to read in a standard classroom.

The first thing to know about Learning Disabilities is that they do not relate to intelligence. Some kids with tested low intelligence find it easy to learn to read or do math, while others with high intelligence find reading almost impossible. In some ways, intelligent kids with LD are harder to teach, because intelligent kids can be extremely clever at finding ways to hide their problems from teachers and parents.

For Learning Disabilities, dEcode® for Kids is a front-line weapon for parents. The full dEcode® system was originally developed out of a clinical psychological practice teaching reading to dyslexic children and adults. Even in the shorter dEcode® For Kids version, it addresses the root problems of a mild dyslexia before they even start.

Other reading programs skip too quickly over the early stages of phonetic decoding— only dEcode® for Kids takes all the steps required to truly learn to decode. The dEcode® for Kids program, with its careful early attention to auditory coding can overcome certain mild LDs which may then never manifest in the future for the young learner.

In addition, if there is a larger LD requiring special attention, dEcode® for Kids will allow the parent to see the signs that indicate a child might need more in-depth attention, and whether a formal Psycheducational Assessment should be undertaken. Similarly, dEcode For Kids Numbers addresses the underlying processes required for numeracy and provides an unparalleled range of examples and combinations that ensures understanding and retention of concepts essential to numerical operations such as adding and subtracting. This repetition is crucial for the child with any kind of math learning disability.
